Baldur's Gate 3 rolls out hotfixes for players who "offended the gods of RNG".

The February update to Baldur's Gate 3 added a druid who can transform into a giant badger, but Larian also added an option to play with loads of dice. This was to "smooth out the extremes of the bell curve" and adjust the randomness so that players with a few bad rolls were guaranteed a good roll and vice versa. Even after that, complaints about the dice persisted: "The dice were harsh, cursed, and rigged, and I saw someone say that the RNG was downright evil," Larian wrote.

And in the latest patch, Hotfix #10, the math on the other side of the dice has been adjusted so that a ruthless d20 continues to reward players who have been unlucky. As Larian says, "This is a gift to those of you (and us) who clearly offended the RNG gods in a previous life and were cursed to fail at every dice roll." [The toggle is just above the camera option in the menu and is labeled Weighted Dice. I've played enough Blood Bowl to know that dice are not my friend.

The note also says that this patch "fixes a crash when examining disabled entities (like Bulette disappearing)," which is much harder to headline.
