Resident Evil's Giant Vampire Lady Will Absolutely Crush Your Skull

YouTuber Kyle Hill has calculated exactly how much face-destructive power the fan-favorite giantess of Resident Evil Village can wreak in a single step.

Discovered by Kotaku (who naively thought that perhaps they might change the minds of those who want Lady D to step on their faces), Hill found out just how hard this giant vampire can kick in a Capcom sponsored video. Starting with her official height of 9'6", the YouTuber calculated Lady D's approximate weight by working backwards and estimating her body mass index (BMI).

Still used by many medical professionals, BMI is a tremendously flawed health indicator that attempts to boil down "health" using weight and height; BMI is often inaccurate and racist (the graph is heavily skewed toward European white body types); and BMI is a very poor measure of health. She probably doesn't care if she is asked.

The BMI chart also fudged the numbers a bit on Hill's part because it did not account for a 9-foot tall woman. The final figure was 205 kg (450 lbs.). Assuming that she would step with all of her weight, her feet would be crushed by 145 million pascal of pressure.

In context, this is enough pressure to penetrate the ballistic gel head with a pinwheel as if nothing had happened.

PlayStation owners can now check out a limited-time demo. Resident Evil: Village will officially launch on May 4, bringing back the arcade-like Mercenaries mode. Andy K. played the game and found Village to be a stunning homage to Resident Evil 4.
