General
The second season of "Dota: Dragon's Blood" will be available on Netflix.

In Dota: Dragon's Blood, the famously tinny MOBA was treated to a Netflix cartoon, and Valve completely revamped the tutorial and onboarding for Dota 2. Basically, Dota is not going away, at least not on Valve's watch. And now, a second season of Dragon's Blood is set to be released.

This comes from the official Dota 2 Twitter account. Given that it is "in production," it will probably be a while yet, but in the meantime, the Dota Free to Play documentary is coming to Netflix. It is already available on YouTube, but the Netflix version adds an "updated end credit sequence."

Netflix Geeked (don't ask me!) 's official Twitter account also tweeted a still from this season:

Dota 2 is still going strong, but March's Dragon's Blood premiere did not seem to have a significant impact on the game's player base: according to Steam Charts, the March player count (390,412 on average) was lower than in February (404,832). By contrast, sales of The Witcher 3 rose 554% in the wake of the premiere of the Netflix film adaptation.

Wes watched "Dragon's Blood" last month and wrote that it was "conventional and probably one of the safest ways to turn a game like Dota into a TV series. He wrote, "There is more story here, and with an established cast of characters, a second season could incorporate nuances not available in these eight episodes.
