All DLC for "Max Payne 3" and "LA Noire" is now free on Steam.

Last night was a strange one for Rockstar. The studio's entire catalog was temporarily pulled from Steam, only to reappear 30 minutes later. After its return, "Midnight Club 2" (which was discontinued in 2018) was relisted, but Rockstar took it down an hour later.

As a quiet upside to all the confusion, small updates were offered for "Max Payne 3" and "LA Noire". Both titles no longer have 32-bit support, but all of the DLC now available is now completely free and included by default in each of the base games. If you own either of these games, you are encouraged to download them.

Now, this is no "Midnight Club 2". But even if you weren't one of the lucky few who were able to get their hands on this elusive racer, the free DLC for two very different hard-boiled detective stories is a welcome consolation, even if both games were released nearly a decade after their release and without notice!
