Gaming laptop with RTX 2060 on sale for $900

Thanks to the current GPU shortage, desktop gaming PCs are still incredibly hard to find (or build), but gaming laptops are still available at acceptable prices; Acer is currently discounting one of its RTX 2060 laptops to just $899.99 This makes it one of the cheapest laptops with this graphics card we have seen in recent months.

The Acer Nitro 5 model on sale here features an Intel Core i5-9400H quad-core processor, 15.6" 1080p screen with 144Hz refresh rate, 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD for storage, and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card. There is no mention of a low-power Max-Q graphics card specification on the product page or on Acer's own spec sheet, so theoretically it would be an RTX 2060 running at full power.

While there have been several inexpensive laptops with RTX 2060 graphics cards in recent months, such as the $800 Gateway model, this product from Acer has several other features. It has a full 16GB of memory, whereas most laptops in this price range (annoyingly) only have 8GB; a 512GB SSD and a high refresh rate screen are also nice; and a full 16GB of memory, whereas most laptops in this price range only have 8GB.

The main drawback here is that this laptop's Core i5 processor is an older chip, whereas many other gaming laptops have newer 10th generation Intel processors. However, even a slightly older CPU does not detract greatly from performance, especially given the abundant RAM and fast graphics card.
