Season 3 of "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War & Warzone" will begin soon. And while battle royale players are expecting the biggest changes, there is also great news for zombie players.

Treyarch, which manages the undead side of Call Of Duty's mode, announced this week that it will introduce weapon unlock challenges for zombies.

Currently, to unlock Cold War era weapons, you have to jump into the game's competitive multiplayer. This will be frustrating for those who are only interested in zombies, but from now on you should be able to enhance your weapons without having to fight other human players. The modes will share weapons, so anything you unlock in zombies should carry over to regular multiplayer.

Season 3 will be available today as a small 25 GB update ahead of the official season launch on April 22; Warzone's Verdansk map will be nuked tomorrow, opening the way for a new battleground in Battle Royale.
