You can watch "Mortal Kombat" on HBO Maxx as follows

I'm watching the new Mortal Kombat movie with a stopwatch in hand, counting the minutes until someone yells "Finish it!" I'm counting how many minutes it will be until someone yells, "Finish it!" at around the 43-minute mark. The truth will be revealed on Friday, April 23, when "Mortal Kombat" opens on HBO Max.

If you're in the U.S. and plan on watching "Mortal Kombat" as soon as possible, prepare to stay up late Thursday night; the broadcast start time for "Mortal Kombat" is as follows.

"Mortal Kombat" begins streaming on Friday, April 23 at 12:01 a.m. PT (3:01 a.m. ET) on HBO Max. Click on this handy converter.

Mortal Kombat is free to HBO Max subscribers, but its availability on HBO Max is limited; the streaming period on HBO Max is 31 days, sort of like an odd streaming version of a short theatrical release.

Bad news for those living outside the US: because HBO Max itself is only available in the US until June, when it launches in the Caribbean and Latin America. Europe will follow later this year.

"Mortal Kombat" will also be in cinemas starting this Friday. Those interested in seeing the first few minutes can do so here.
