Cooler Master's MM720 is a very lightweight gaming mouse, $27 today.

The trend in lightweight mouse design is to drill holes in the shell, as Cooler Master has done with the MM720 The MM720 is available now at Woot (an Amazon company) for $26.99.

This is almost half the regular price of $49.99, which is by far the cheapest price since its launch last October. That works out to about $0.55 per gram, which I would venture to say is the lowest price ever for a well-known brand-name gaming mouse (I could be wrong, but this is still a super value mouse).

The model on sale is a glossy white model. The RGB lighting on the mouse belly shines through dozens of holes in the shell, and the scroll wheel lights up as well. The lighting can be set to change in conjunction with the DPI setting, making it somewhat functional.

For this purpose, it is equipped with a Pixart PMW3389 sensor with a DPI range of 400 to 16,000. Other features include a tracking speed of 400 IPS (inches per second), six programmable buttons, an upgraded PTFE foot for easy movement on the mouse pad or desktop, and optical left and right buttons that withstand 70 million clicks according to Cooler Master microswitches, and more.

In addition, it is dustproof and waterproof. According to Cooler Master, the rodent has been given a special coating and is IP58 certified. You can also "clean this bad boy by dipping it in water," but in that case you should allow it to dry completely before plugging it in.
