Respawn is definitely working on new games and worlds "from scratch."

Respawn Entertainment, developer of "Titanfall" and "Apex Legends," is working on a "new IP from scratch" with a small incubation team, a new job posting confirmed. The news was confirmed by a tweet from developer Steven Kah Hien Wong and amplified by Respawn boss Vince Zampella. The news confirms rumors that began circulating after a similar job posting was made and removed earlier this year.

The postings for the Inquisitr Team Software Engineer position contain little information about the game's content. The world of the new game may be related to the worlds of "Titanfall" and "Apex Legends," but that seems unlikely given that the posting calls it a "completely new IP."

Perhaps the only hint in the post is that it is "pioneering new ways to make 'adventures to the heat death of space' possible." Also, this position requires an understanding of both vector mathematics and linear algebra, basic skills for fairly advanced software engineering, such as most 3D rendering engines. Given that, the game will probably require some sort of procedural generation to create enough content to last 10⁰⁰ years before it theoretically ceases to exist.

Cheers, TechRadar.
