Resident Evil Village" PC demo to be extended

Resident Evil Village will release its third and final demo this weekend.

Capcom was quite stingy with the game's first two demos. The "Castle" and "Village" demos were PlayStation exclusive and lasted only eight hours of play.

Understandably, people were quite miffed by this. Previous demos were only 30 minutes long, but they basically required you to be available for one specific night, or else you would lose the opportunity to play.

The final demo was released earlier this month and was longer, but with a 24-hour limit. Thankfully, Capcom seems to have listened to the feedback. In a tweet today, the studio announced that it will add a week to the original 24 hours, giving players eight days to try out the game. While the time limit is still frustrating, it should make it much easier to set aside time to play the demo closely.

The final demo for Resident Evil Village will combine the Castle and Village levels into one 60-minute demo. It will run from 5 p.m. PDT on May 1 to 5 p.m. PDT on May 9 in North America and from 1 a.m. BST on May 2 to 1 a.m. BST on May 10 in the UK.
