General
I hope the Prince of Persia Lego set is authentic.

Thanks to LEGO Ideas, a portal where LEGO builders can submit set designs and vote on what they would like to see actually built, LEGO has created some great sets such as the Saturn V and Ghostbusters Ecto 1. Video game-themed designs are always submitted to LEGO Ideas, but rarely get made. So it's a long shot, but I would love to see this Prince of Persia modular level builder set actually get approved.

This aesthetic is right on. The turquoise doors, the yellow hallway, and the arched window above the guards waiting to cut me down. I especially like the arrows below the kit that mimic the strength bars of myself and my opponent.

But the really cool thing about this kit is that it is designed to be modular, allowing you to build little dioramas of the different levels of Prince of Persia. As you progress through the castle in the game, you have to climb from the dungeon to a better part of the castle. The design here can greatly create such an experience. In some cases, down to the exact screen layout.

"This set contains enough pieces to fill the screen with gray 'dungeon' blocks and enough pieces to build a golden 'palace' setting," writes creator Vosel. The minifigs in this set include a prince, a princess, an evil jafar and two of his guards." And, of course, the skeletons of the third level. If you want more, you can combine two or more sets and connect the 'screens' with technique pins."

The LEGO Ideas set needs thousands of backers for LEGO to consider actually making it. But it's a good idea.
