"Total War: Rome Remastered" is coming soon, and this 4K remaster from Feral Interactive adds 16 new playable factions and brings the 17-year-old classic back to the modern age.

Sega and Creative Assembly have released a FAQ for this release, detailing everything you get with your purchase and posting new system requirements that are slightly less onerous than the previously released version. purchasing the game on Steam will give you "campaign maps and upgraded combat textures" and also gets an extended graphics pack.

Also included is the original Rome: Total War for those who don't already have it and want to see how it looked back in 2004. And if you already own the original version on Steam, you can purchase the remastered version for 50% off. However, if you have it on disc, you are out of luck.
