Fixes and balancing in the latest patch for Outriders, but lost items are still out of the developer's hands.

General
Fixes and balancing in the latest patch for Outriders, but lost items are still out of the developer's hands.

Outriders has been quite well received as a standalone single-player loot shooter, which is very welcome in the age of infinite live-service games, but it has been plagued by some serious bugs and server issues. A major patch has now been released, fixing a wide range of bugs reported just before and after launch, as well as several balance adjustments.

Developer People Can Fly has stated that this patch does not restore inventory or characters lost due to previous bugs. Restoration proved to be very complicated, as items are calculated using the character's level, World Tier, and the level at which the player completed the highest level challenge. The restoration is still a work in progress, as is the community appreciation package that is planned for post-release.

However, the main highlights of the patch are quite significant: AI snipers have been nerfed, knockback from Stargrave Expedition creatures has been nerfed, several bugs affecting mods have been fixed, and the patch is now available to all players. Of particular note to PC players, the bug that prevented old crash dumps from being deleted is gone, so the Outriders folder is no longer inexplicably huge. Also, the FOV can now be raised to 130, and the Insert and Print Screen block keys can now be used as bindings.
