League of Legends Animated Series "Arcane" Coming to Netflix This Fall

League of Legends' first animated TV series, "Arcane," is coming to Netflix this fall, a new teaser trailer released today reveals. Don't get too excited, though, as this is a typical teaser trailer. It's only 19 seconds long, but it gives us our first glimpse of the show since it was announced in 2019.

There isn't much to read from the trailer, but Jinx, one of League of Legends' most iconic champions, is featured heavily. Her sister Vi also makes a brief appearance, reinforcing speculation that "Arcane" will probably focus on their origin story, which takes place in the two mecha cities of Piltover and Zaun. For those unfamiliar with the League's convoluted lore, Vi and Jinx are not great friends; Vi is basically a sheriff who wields two giant robo-gantries, and Jinx is a slightly unhinged terrorist. Think Harley Quinn, but with more guns. [With over 150 champions, League of Legends is a big world, and between this teaser and the original announcement trailer, we can expect to see Piltover and Zaun locals like Warwick as secondary characters.

We won't know for sure until "Arcane" launches on Netflix this fall, but I'm pretty excited.
