An Alienware PC with an Intel Rocket Lake CPU and RTX 3070 sells for $1,900.

Graphics cards are hard to come by these days, but in my daily search for deals, I see a few prebuilt desktops with Nvidia's latest generation GPUs (GeForce RTX 30 series). However, the Alienware Aurora R12 is in stock at Best Buy (as of this writing) for $1,899.99.

It's not on sale, but at least for now, the elusive "Add to Cart" button is lit. At the heart of this system is a GeForce RTX 3070, which sells for around $1,400 on eBay.

The system also features an 11th generation Core i7 11700F, one above the Core i5 11600K, one of the best CPUs for gaming. It is an 8-core/16-thread CPU based on Intel's latest generation Rocket Lake architecture with a base clock of 2.5 GHz, a maximum turbo frequency of 4.9 GHz, and 16 MB of L3 cache.

It also has 16GB of RAM, the sweet spot, and a 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD for storage; the storage allocation is annoying in that a 256GB SSD is not the least bit exciting, but it is easily upgradeable if the need arises It is something that could be easily upgraded if the need arose.

What about the other GeForce RTX 30 series PCs I mentioned:

None of them are very compelling, given their across-the-board high prices. But if you want the latest GPUs and aren't interested in Alienware, these are your choices now.
