Manga "Made in Abyss" becomes an action RPG.

Spike Chunsoft has announced that an action RPG based on the manga "Made in Abyss" will be released next year.

"Made in Abyss: Dark Falling Binary Star" is based on a manga by Akihito Tsukushi that has been serialized since 2012 and currently has nine volumes published; it was adapted into an anime in 2017 and edited into a two-part movie in 2019. Another movie was released early last year, and a second anime series is scheduled to be released in 2022.

Not much more information is currently available other than a small website with a few screenshots. The game stays true to the premise of the first series, in which orphaned Rico discovers and befriends an android named Reg, and the two travel to the Abyss to search for Rico's lost mother, Liza. The story takes place a few days after their journey, and there is an original story supervised by Tsukushi. The voice actors from the anime will also be voicing cut scenes in the game. [Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness will be released on Steam in 2022. If you can't wait for your anime game fix until then, take a peek at the best anime games on PC.
