Outriders Inventory Wipe Restoration Finally Begins

The "Outriders" inventory erasure bug was one of the very troubling issues regarding the controversial "People Can Fly" loot shooter when it was first released. Not everything will be returned, but most of the important gear should be accounted for.

An update on the game's subreddit confirmed that the restoration of this gear affects "Group A" characters." "Group A" is defined by the studio as "characters who have encountered a wipe and are unable to log in at this time. Basically, all items equipped at the time of the wipe are restored, regardless of rarity. On the other hand, any Legendary items in that character's inventory will be restored.

It gets a little more complicated from there. For non-legendary items in a character's inventory, 20 items will be restored with priority given to rarity and 2 items will be restored with priority given to acquisition date. In other words, if you had a large amount of rare and epic items, the epic items will definitely be restored, but not the rare items.

As for the Accolades, they will all be restored if you have reached the last level.

The good news is that Group A players can "return up to 20 previously sold Legendary items to their inventory" and these will be godoled. Players whose inventory losses are less severe (Groups B and C) will have to wait a bit longer to receive compensation.
