Introducing the Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons crossover set.

Wizards of the Coast has released cards for the Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons crossover card set, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. This massive set was announced last year and marks the first time D&D has appeared in Magic. Adventures in the Forgotten Realms (AfR) will appear in July, and will make its debut at Magic: The Gathering Arena on July 8.

The set is very large and includes new set and collector boosters, theme boosters for each color and an unreleased bonus type, and four new Commander format decks. The set's key art depicts Drizzt Dolden, Hero of the Forgotten Realms.

The livestream showcased many lands in D&D's own style, including flavor text and adventurous figures. Also featured were D&D's iconic magic item, a portable hole to trick enemies into entering, and a rather playable looking Vorpal Sword. The Vorpal Sword beheads enemies with a critical hit.

The set also features iconic D&D monsters like the Beholder and spells like Power Word Kill. She is a 7/7 flying legendary dragon goddess, costs 2 mana + 1 mana of each color, is a typical 2WUBRG critter, and when she enters the battlefield she puts 5 dragon cards from your deck into your hand. It already tastes like a commander deck.
