Terry Cavanagh, creator of indie game classics such as VVVVVV and Super Hexagon, has released a new title, Climb the Giant Man, which the Irish developer created in three months as "Obby" (basically a beginner-friendly platformer within Roblox platformer obstacle course) that can be created, and has been tweeting progress since early March.

As the name implies, the goal of Climb the Giant Man is to climb a really, really huge giant. Along the way is a sprawling platform gauntlet in a format familiar to anyone who has spent much time in Roblox. In between climbs, though, players can lounge in the bathtub or disco dance. They can even drive. The game is just the result of Cavanagh's experimentation with the Roblox toolset.

"I never thought I would like working with Roblox Studio so much," Cavanagh writes of the game, which was initially intended to be a week-long side project." I have been working on this, on and off, for about three months." This will be one of the biggest projects in my freeware history. He also adds that this will probably not be his last Roblox game.

While not as ubiquitous and high-profile as "Fortnite," Roblox is immensely popular, mostly with kids, and when Roblox Corporation went public in March, it went one up on EA.
