When we reviewed Razer's Basilisk V2 last year, we said that this second-generation model "may be the best wired mouse for Razer. The drawback was the price. With an MSRP of $79.99, the Basilisk is more expensive than the DeathAdder V2. However, Amazon currently has the Basilisk V2 for $49.99.

This is a great price for an excellent mouse. We occasionally see these rodents drop to this price, but it is not uncommon to see them sold at the regular price, so this sale is a $30 savings.

The Basilisk V2 has a best-in-class optical sensor with 20,000 DPI sensitivity, 650 IPS (inches per second) tracking capability, and 99.6% resolution accuracy. 20,000 DPI is not really necessary, but this is one of the best sensors on the market.

Compared to the original model, the V2 felt more comfortable. It has an extended thumb grip, and according to Samuel's review, his hands never got tired, even after a full day of use or hours of play.

"Sure, that's true of most modern mice, but it's still one of the most comfortable devices I've used," Samuel wrote.

Other features include 11 programmable buttons, customizable scroll wheel resistance, optical switches on the main clicker, and RGB lighting.
