Adopt Me! is by far the most popular of Roblox's games and has a player base that rivals even the big stand-alone games; as of February, the game had 20 billion hits, which is pretty impressive for a game within a game.

So, the "Adopt Me! 's developers formed a company called Uplift Games, and it is no wonder. Previously, the game's developers were collectively known as Team Adopt Me and Dreamcraft, but Uplift Games is a full-fledged company with a staff of 40 and plans to grow.

Uplift Games continues to support Adopt Me! while also focusing on developing "future unannounced projects," but it is unclear whether these projects will be Roblox games or independent titles Roblox's default revenue split is 30% to Roblox Corp and 70% to the developer.

"We have been developing Adopt Me as a team for nearly four years, and Uplift Games is a major step forward in bringing our vision to the gaming industry. Our diverse team combines the best talent from Roblox and the traditional game development world, and we are very excited to continue building the best metaverse experience in a flexible and sustainable way."

According to Uplift Games' own statistics, Adopt Me! has 60 million monthly players. Here's the actual game synopsis: You roam a whimsical online world, collecting and raising 150 different pets. You can also decorate your home and "create your own emergent fun with friends using in-game tools. The game's revenue comes from in-game transactions. Robux, the platform's currency, can be earned in-game or purchased with real cash.
