Fall Guys' 4.5 Update Adds New Rounds, Almost Full Cross-Play with PlayStation 4

A mid-season update for Fall Guys has been released, introducing new rounds, additional round variations, and almost complete cross-play capabilities with PlayStation 4 players.

Nicknamed the Dave update, Fall Guys 4.5 introduces two new rounds, Slimescraper and Button Bashers. Slimescraper is similar to Slime Crime, in which bean babies run from slime across multiple floors, while Button Bashers features one-on-one showdowns in a mini-arena. There are also "55 additional variants in 12 different rounds," which will bring even more chaos to the game. There is not yet a full list of variants, but Hex-a-gone and Thin Ice will add low-gravity variants.

Cross-play between PC and PlayStation 4 players is also nearly complete. Players on both platforms will be able to match-make in all game modes, including the new and improved custom lobbies. Only cross-platform parties are not yet possible, but Mediatonic's use of the word "yet" in the patch notes implies that it will be possible in the future.

Latency when grabbing things has also been improved, with Mediatonic stating that "things should be much more responsive." Small bug fixes like physics-related issues and super strong throwing power have also been squashed.
