Activision confirms that Rambo and Die Hard will appear in "Call of Duty: Warzone" next week.

After several days of heavy-handed teasers, Activision has finally confirmed that 80s action hero icons and fellow Johns, Rambo and McClane, will be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone as premium operator skins on May 20.

The fun began earlier this month when a Call of Duty account tweeted the status of a player named Survivorjohn#1009062. It was something of a cipher, but Twitter user Eric Maynard cracked the code: there are five movies in the Rambo series, and according to the Rambo Wiki (yes, there is a Rambo Wiki), our intrepid hero has killed a total of 552 people throughout the series. Amazing!

A few days later, a more on-the-nose antics appeared. This came in the form of a fake advertisement for Nakatomi Duct Cleaning, clearly referencing Nakatomi Plaza, the building at the center of the original Die Hard. The Call of Duty account then tweeted the stats for Cowboymcclane#0070030. John McClane is referred to as "Cowboy" several times in the film.

Obviously something was cooking, but finally it was official: the action begins May 20. [The action begins May 20. Details have yet to be fully revealed, but expect skins, a voice line (you might actually pay for the opportunity to run around shouting "Schieß dem fenster" to everyone), and perhaps an iconic gun like Hans Gruber's P7M13 or Rambo's M60 I'm not so sure. More characters could be in store down the road: Rambo and McClane are a solid start, but is it really a complete version of the 1980s-themed "Black Ops: Cold War" without Chuck Norris and Dolph Lundgren?
