Mass Effect: Legendary Edition becomes BioWare's highest-rated game on Steam in terms of concurrent users.

"Mass Effect": Legendary Edition launched on Friday, and according to Steam numbers, the launch weekend was quite successful.

The remastered trilogy is currently trending #1 on SteamDB, with a peak of 59,817 concurrent players on Sunday. As industry analyst @BenjiSales noted on Twitter, this is the highest concurrent player count on Steam for a BioWare game. It also had the second highest concurrent users for an EA game on Steam, behind only "Apex Legends."

While these numbers represent success for BioWare, the launch day reviews were mixed. Technical problems and the lack of a FOV slider were notable. Now, the reviews are up to "Very Positive," and modders are already swooping in to fix the FOV to save the day.

With the lack of major releases this year, it is no surprise that this trilogy has left its numbers behind. Resident Evil 7: Resident Evil Village was also released earlier this month and broke the record for the highest number of concurrent users for a PC version of Resident Evil, topping 100,000.

Mass Effect Mass Effect: Legendary Edition includes all three games, minus the multiplayer mode of Mass Effect 3, and all DLC at launch. According to project director Mac Walters, multiplayer may appear in the future.
