Phasmophobia's Latest Update Gives Ghosts Even More Creepy Things to Do

Over the last few updates, the ghosts of Phasmophobia have been able to do increasingly disturbing things like turn corners, open doors, blow out candles, etc.

The latest update has made it even more difficult to avoid the supernatural monstrosities, as they now move faster over time when they find you during a hunt and only disengage if they cannot find you at your last known location. This change applies to all ghosts except revenants. Also, ghosts will remember where they saw you on their last hunt and will look for that location first on their next hunt.

Ghosts can no longer move during the start phase of a hunt. At the same time, the start phase was reduced from 8 seconds to 5 seconds.

Not only that, but closets, which previously offered a level of security comparable to Fort Knox, are now slightly less useful, as ghosts now have at least a slight chance to open both doors. One very cool, yet absolutely terrifying addition to the ghost's skill set is the ability to open doors completely if he hears you talking from inside a closet or locker. But it's not all bad news for ghost hunters. The furniture will now block the line of sight between you and the ghost, essentially providing more hiding places.

The update also made several changes to other aspects of the game, as well as a number of bug fixes. The complete list can be found on Steam; those interested in Phasmophobia's upcoming new content and fixes can check out Kinetic Games' public Trello list.
