Outriders attracted 3.5 million unique players in April, and according to Square Enix, the series is "poised to become the company's next major franchise." In other words, an update to the existing game, as well as "Outriders 2," seems likely.

While these numbers are impressive, they have nothing to do with unit sales: since "Outriders" was released on Xbox consoles as a launch title for the Xbox Game Pass, it is assumed that many players entered the market through Xbox consoles. On the other hand, substantial free demo versions are available on all platforms, but it is unclear if these numbers include those players.

However you slice it, however, Outriders is attracting players, and People Can Fly is "committed to improving and enhancing the experience in the coming weeks and months," adding that they "look forward to expanding Outriders in the future."
