Klipsch's popular ProMedia 2.1 speaker is on sale again.

Perhaps no 2.1 computer speaker set is as popular as Klipsch's ProMedias. They are loud, have good bass, and are not too expensive. Especially if you can get them on sale, as they are now.

We wrote about these speakers last month when they dropped to $89.99, and now they are even cheaper - Amazon has them for $79.99. This is $60 less than the list price, an unbeatable price for a great set of speakers.

The discounted price appears at checkout and not on the product page. A bit quirky, but Amazon has the price reduced to $105.91, with the easily missed message "Save $25.92 at checkout." There is no coupon code or checkbox, just add the speaker to your cart and head to the checkout screen.

This is a THX-certified set consisting of a pair of satellite speakers with 3-inch midrange drivers and a 6.5-inch subwoofer with side-firing ports. [The entire system has a peak output of 260 watts. It's been a while since I've owned this set, and I distinctly remember being able to turn up the volume without experiencing any distortion. There is also a 3.5mm audio port for connecting headphones so as not to wake up roommates.

This is one of those products that we could easily recommend at full price, but at this discount, we especially recommend it. So why isn't this in our Best Computer Speakers roundup?
