Check out the new PvP map for Overwatch 2!

The big news from today's Overwatch 2 PvP livestream was that the tournament will be reduced from six to five players per side, with teams roll-locked to two support, two DPS, and one tank. This was a big change and generated a lot of buzz, but it wasn't the only thing Blizzard unveiled. New PvP maps such as New York, Toronto, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, and Monte Carlo were also seen, as well as a new look at Tall Bjorn.

The Rio story mission has already been released, but now we can check out the Rio escort map:

New York is a hybrid PvP map:

The New York map has an Easter egg dedicated to former game director Jeff Kaplan also includes a few; here's a hint, with the help of Polygon.

Rome is designed for the new Push mode, a twist on Payload mode in which two teams battle it out by controlling robots that push barriers back and forth across the map. The mode has undergone many changes since it was introduced at BlizzCon in 2019.

Toronto was included, which I'm sure you've already seen. Still, as a good Canadian boy, I owe it to myself to include it:

The highlight of the map showcase was the unveiling of the new "Monte Carlo" map, which was gorgeously lit up with flying yachts, autopilot cars and gorgeous escort maps as far as the eye could see.

Blizzard also revealed Torbjorn's updated look for Overwatch 2. New changes have also been made to the UI and HUD of some heroes, including Mercy and Zenyatta.

While there are still many things we don't know about "Overwatch 2," including the release date, Blizzard is finally ready to start showing off the game in earnest. If you missed today's "Overwatch 2" PvP livestream, you can watch it in its entirety below.
