General
Both "Titanfall" games suffer DDoS attacks again.

Players of "Titanfall" have been plagued by DDoS attacks for a very long time. After months of complaints, Respawn told players in April that it was investigating the problem, and it appeared to be resolved. But now a new wave of attacks is affecting players in both "Titanfall" and "Titanfall 2," with streamers indicating that it is not just a server outage, but that individual players are isolated and unable to play matches beyond the opening cutscene. There have also been reports of players unable to connect at all.

Modder Taskinoz suggested that these were attacks against certain players and streamers, and created a free Streamer Mode mod that hides player names. However, he now says that since people started using the mod, hackers are not identifying and disconnecting players, but only attacking the servers where streamers are playing. Nothing has been confirmed, but Respawn has publicly announced that it is investigating the issue. Currently, the servers for "Titanfall" are down as the investigation into the attack is underway.

Many players have replied to the official announcement, pointing out that Apex Legends ranked matches are also having similar problems and are under DDoS attack. Both "Titanfall" games have dedicated multiplayer communities, which seem to be growing as Apex Legends introduces "Titanfall" content in Season 9.
