Destiny 2" Second Team Player to Clear Vault of Glass Banned for Offensive Username

The Vault of Glass, a nostalgic raid from the original Destiny that appeared in Destiny 2 on May 22, was already cleared by several teams within a few hours, as well as the subsequent Vault of Glass challenge mode. The World First record was set by Clan Elysium at 1 hour, 43 minutes, and 55 seconds, with all six team members displaying their names on the leaderboard. However, when looking at the second-place Fire Team with a time of 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 16 seconds, only five members of the team were shown. This is because one of them had the username "#BlackLivesDon'tMatter."

When this username was pointed out, Dylan Gafner, senior community manager at Bungie, said on Twitter, "This is against our code of conduct. The player in question will be banned. Please be sure to report such names at the platform level as well." Lead Community Manager Chris Shannon replied more succinctly with a Sponge Bob gif.

Racism is banned from many multiplayer games, such as Rainbow Six: Siege, where players who type racist language into chat are automatically banned. Here is what happens to players who make racist remarks in the most popular multiplayer games.
