In response to weeks of controversy, harassment, and questioning of Twitch guidelines, a new category has been launched on the streaming site. The "Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches" category was created as a new home for those who began streaming from the comfort of an inflatable paddling pool or hot tub. This category also proved to be the perfect place for wizards and a trio of heartbreakingly adorable otters.

Vancouver's Marine Mammal Rescue Centre has been streaming on Twitch for several months now, traditionally in the "Travel & Outdoors" category (thanks, Rock Paper Shotgun). However, they swam into a new category with the "THICCEST FUR" sticker on their "#1 Cold Tub" stream.

I may have fallen just a little bit in love with these babies, even if they are very likely to tear your face off. It's a soothing sight to see them vibrating on their backs while eating snacks and playing with toys.

As of this writing, Otter is currently the third most watched channel in this category. The stream has consistently lasted for 33 hours, and we expect it to last even longer.
