Biomutants has a beautiful open world and wild, fun ideas. James wrote in his review of Biomutant, "Once you get rid of the gruff, affable Muppets, all that's left is a broken open-world RPG, a cheap riff on the same color-matching puzzle stuck to a rotary phone or a microwave oven or whatever, with little else to discover." But, he said: "At least it looks great."

We have been waiting for Biomutant for a long time: it was first unveiled in 2017. The final game may not be a blockbuster, but it plays on a "genuinely great stage" and has a crafting system that allows for truly powerful builds. If you're still interested in checking it out for yourself, it will be released on May 25.

According to the developers, Biomutant's unlock time is universal, meaning you can start playing a few hours early without having to fiddle with Steam's region settings; Biomutant will unlock on PC (Steam, Epic, GOG) on May 25 at 10:00 am PT.
