Razer's Ambidextrous Viper Ultimate Wireless Mouse Now $90

When we reviewed it a year ago, we spoke highly of Razer's Viper Ultimate wireless mouse. However, it is now marked down to $89.99 on Amazon.

The regular price is $129.99, which is $40 off the MSRP (the initial price was $149.99). Recently, it has been selling for less than the regular list price, although not as cheap as this, except during sales (the average over the past year has been about $109).

There is much to like about the Viper Ultimate. For one, it features Razer's HyperSpeed Wireless transmission technology, which the company claims is 25% faster than competing products. In our tests, it performed as well as a wired mouse, delivering accurate and consistent tracking that didn't move with the mouse's fast movements.

The mouse is also ambidextrous, with buttons on both sides. While most gaming mice are ergonomically designed for right-handed users, this mouse is equally suitable for left-handed users.

At only 74 grams, the Viper Ultimate is a lightweight and nimble mouse; Razer was able to achieve this lightweight design without drilling a large number of holes in the chassis, as is fashionable.

Other features include a 20,000 DPI optical sensor, ray-based mechanical switches on the main clicker, and eight programmable buttons. Simply put, in the realm of ambidextrous mice, this is the best wireless mouse you can buy.
