Upgrade to a fast, curved 32" 1440p FreeSync monitor for only $270

Once you start checking off the specs of a monitor (big screen, fast refresh rate, high resolution, etc.), the price goes up quickly, and MSI's Optix MAG322CQR meets many of them, with a list price of $429.99, but with today's sale it's a whopping $269.99 It is available at a discount.

In fact, Newegg has it down to $339.99, $60 less than B&H Photo and the same sale price as Micro Center. However, this is a "shell shocker" deal with a $70 off promo code (93XRD53) that can be applied at checkout, saving $160 off the list price.

This is a great deal. And in terms of specs, this is Newegg's least expensive 32-inch gaming monitor. The next cheapest is the Gigabyte model, which sells for $305.99 (down from $369.99). This is even cheaper than the smaller (27") and slower (144Hz) Gigabyte G27Q, which we consider the best gaming monitor with FreeSync support.

MSI's monitors are built around a curved (1,500R) VA panel with 2,560x1,440 resolution, a fast refresh rate of 165Hz, a low response time (MPRT) of 1ms, and FreeSync support. It is also not listed as a G-Sync compatible display, but some people on Reddit say it works fine with G-Sync.

The spec sheet also lists it as HDR-compatible, but the maximum brightness is 300 nits, so it is not particularly recommended for HDR content. However, most everything else looks good, including (and especially so) the wide color gamut (96% and 124% coverage of the DCI-P3 and sRGB color spaces, respectively).

As for connectivity, there is DisplayPort 1.2a (x1) for video input, HDMI 2.0b (x2), USB Type-C (x1, DisplayPort alternative), two USB 2.0 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
