Director of Scenario and Design for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Leaves Infinity Ward

Infinity Ward studio design director Taylor Kurosaki has left the studio, along with narrative director Jacob Minkoff, it was announced on their respective Twitter pages earlier this week.

Kurosaki and Minkoff, who moved from Uncharted developer Naughty Dog, joined Infinity Ward during the development of Infinite Warfare. But their footprints are most evident in 2019's Modern Warfare, which marked a significant shift in the studio's tone (even if the more serious tone was at odds with White Lynn's kill streak rewards).

The two will continue to work together, but they have yet to reveal what they will work on next.

"Earlier this year, we decided to move on from Infinity Ward to pursue a rare and exciting new opportunity. It has been an honor to be a part of the studio for the past seven years and we are very proud of what we have created together with 'Modern Warfare' and 'Infinite Warfare.'

The development cycle for "Call of Duty" is currently three years, and it will be at least another year before we know what Infinity Ward is working on. It has been confirmed that Sledgehammer games will be developing this year's film, and there are rumors that they will return to World War II with a project currently titled "Vanguard."
