First "Biomutant" Patch Tackles Dialogue Issues Alongside Combat

The developers of Experiment101 have announced that they are working on an update to Biomutant, naturally. This update will include work to address some of the most persistent bugs in the community. For example, "dialogue tempo, narrator settings, difficulty settings, visual settings such as depth of field and motion blur, loot and enemy adjustments, sound and combat."

The odd pacing of the dialogue and the persistent, incessant narration have been pointed out as important by many players. The narrator's incessant chatter can be reduced, but not eliminated.

What is important to some, myself included, is the promise of being able to change video settings like depth of field and motion blur. Some people don't like that. I don't like it. So far, I can find mods to change them.

Reviewer James Davenport, in our review, said Biomutant has a fascinating world, but the gameplay is lackluster." 'Biomutant' feels like it could be so much more," he said. But in reality, "it's a beautifully toxic landscape that offers little more than an endless stream of new ideas that go nowhere and an excuse to use photo mode."

Despite this, James gave us some hot tips for getting the most out of biomutants.
