Nvidia Announces New Gaming Flagships RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti are here: the ultra-high-end cards, just announced at the Computex virtual event, will be available on June 3, with the less expensive ones a week later on June 10. Availability on these dates is another matter entirely, and there is no doubt that there will be a rush. [The RTX 3080 Ti is basically like the RTX 3090, but without a significant portion of the onboard memory and at a lower price. In other words, with 12GB of GDDR6X memory, the Founders Edition starts at $1,199 (£1,049).

The RTX 3070 Ti is treated much the same way. The original non-Ti version had to make do with GDDR6 VRAM and will be enhanced by faster GDDR6X memory. Prices will start at $599 (£529).

We had heard rumors that the cards would be released a week apart from each other, which ended up being true (they gave us time to write a review). If you want the full scoop on performance, check back soon.

Both the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti will be available with custom cooler flares from day one, including the factory overclocked models; Nvidia lists Founders Edition cards like the one pictured above as "limited editions."

If you have a chance to purchase either of these two graphics cards at launch, watch for on-sale availability. They will undoubtedly be popular.
