Shroud: "Valorant is the first tack shooter in a long time that the company really cares about.

Today marks the first anniversary of the release of Riot Games' tactical shooter Valorant, which has been a huge success. This is an excellent principle for running a live game, as opposed to the game's most serious competitor, the nearly nine-year-old Counter-Strike: Valve, the administrators of Global Offensive, tend to be less public (even though their continued support for this title is unquestionable Valve, the administrators of Global Offensive, tend to be less public (even if their continued support for the title is unquestionable).

The opportunity is colored not only by Riot, but also by some of the most famous names in the competitive and streaming scene. After retiring from the pro scene to focus on streaming, he has openly stated that he thinks Valorant is superior.

"I realized really early on that it was my favorite genre," says Shroud.

"Valorant is the first TAC shooter in a long time that the company has really taken care of.

While this feels like an indictment of Valve, Shroud explains exactly what he means by "shitty game" in this context. As long as Riot keeps updating new agents and maps, pushes for meta changes, and keeps things fresh, Valorant isn't going anywhere. The competitive scene and tournaments are also really important to the game in the long run."

Since his return to Twitch last August (following Mixer's closure), he has streamed 544 hours of the game, making it the most-played title of the past year.

On Valorant's first birthday, he also received praise from Tyler "Ninja" Blevins. The graphics were very beautiful. Also, everything Riot touched turned to gold, so it was hard not to jump on this game!" He said.

"I haven't been streaming lately," Ninja continues. I love playing games with my friends and don't plan on stopping anytime soon, and Riot frequently updates their games and adds new content, which is what any gaming enthusiast would want."

Valorant is PC Gamer's pick for best multiplayer game of 2020, due in no small part to the ongoing support and new content mentioned above. In fact, it sets the bar so high that even Counter-Strike has to take notice. To be fair to Valve, however, CS: GO is indistinguishable from the game that launched in 2012; while Valorant currently boasts 14 million monthly players, CS: GO is doing well at 27 million per month.
