Netflix to Attend Summer Game Fest, Showcasing The Witcher, Resident Evil, and More

By Geoff Keighley The addition to the Summer Game Fest live streaming lineup is actually not about games, but about Netflix. As the official name "Geeked Week" suggests, it will feature news, trailers, and other announcements about Netflix's game-based shows and movies.

The Witcher season 2 is obviously what we're looking for, and the big hope is that we'll finally get a good look at what's coming in the next round of Geralt's cinematic adventures, which are expected to premiere later this year. However, Netflix has also teased appearances on "The Cuphead Show" and "Resident Evil," which could be a reference to either the animated or live-action series currently in production, or both!

Netflix's Geeked Week schedule has not yet been announced, but the Summer Game Fest segment (which will likely be the most game-focused) will precede Koch Media's stream on June 11 at 9am PT / 12pm ET. to take place over the course of a day; see the E3 2021 schedule for more details on live streams and online events in June and beyond.
