The hugely popular free-to-play RPG "Genshin Impact" came out in September 2020 and made a big splash despite not being available on the regular storefront: if you wanted to play it, you had to go directly from the MiHoYo website. However, that will change next week when "Genshin Impact" is released on the Epic Games Store on June 9.

"Our primary focus in developing "Genshin Impact" was to make it playable on a wide range of platforms, and Epic Games Store is an expert in PC gaming, and we are pleased to be working with Epic to make "Genshin Impact" available to the broader global We are honored to be working with Epic to bring "Genshin Impact" to the broader global gaming community.

The release of the Epic Games Store coincides with the launch of the 1.6 major update, which includes new characters, new arch-conquests, and a new region called Inazuma, which is said to be more hostile than other regions. Boats will also be added as a new means of transportation, and completing the world quest "Idle Teapot Talk" will finally allow you to invite your friends into your magical teapot home.

Available on the Epic Store, "Genshin Impact" supports cross-play with the PlayStation, Android, iOS, and standalone PC versions, and players will receive free in-game bonuses for a limited time starting June 9. (Use the redemption code "GenshinEpic.")

"Genshin Impact" is currently available for wish list registration at the Epic Games Store. There is no indication at this time that it will be available on other stores, namely Steam, but we have contacted MiHoYo about the possibility and will update if we hear back.
