The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti goes on sale today, June 3, 2021. If you want to buy one at MSRP, you'll need to pay close attention to stores for the next 12 hours or so. Sadly, today's graphics card market is not a buyer's market, meaning that demand for Nvidia's new gaming flagship will be exceptionally high. [The RTX 3080 Ti is Nvidia's powerful new card that rivals the RTX 3090 in gaming; the RTX 3080 Ti costs $1,200 (£1,050/€1,200/$1,920 AUD).

Still to come, Nvidia has confirmed that the RTX 3080 Ti will be available at retailers starting at 6am PT / 2pm BST / 3pm CET.

History has shown that these cards do not remain available very long after the start of sales.

The RTX 3080 Ti will be available today in two flavors: Founders Edition and a third-party version; the Founders Edition will no doubt be a popular choice as it is closer to MSRP, but Best Buy's initial listings indicate that at least Asus and Zotac appear to be selling third-party cards for the same price as MSRP. However, we don't know for how long.

Founders Edition graphics cards will only be available at select retailers worldwide. In the U.S., that is Best Buy, and this retailer is well aware of the high demand for these parts. Therefore, the RTX 3080 Ti Founders will only be sold in stores.

A list of Best Buy stores carrying RTX 3080 Ti inventory can be found here. You will need to be at the store starting at 7:30 AM local time to pick up one ticket that can be redeemed for one graphics card starting at 9:00 AM local time.

Newegg will also have RTX 3080 Ti graphics cards available as part of the Newegg Shuffle. This is a lottery system for in-demand products, giving random users the chance to purchase the graphics card on launch day.

For those living in the UK, the RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition will be available on Scan, as it has been on previous FE launches. This site needs to be updated with an anti-bot policy and high server demand, but we have found it to be better than other sites, at least as far as launch day inventory is concerned.

Stock may be low elsewhere, so you may want to check Albion's largest technology retailer for a chance to purchase the card on launch day to avoid disappointment.

It is recommended that you set up your account ahead of time to avoid losing money at checkout.

We like to build our own PCs, but now it's more affordable to have someone else do it for you. Homebuilt PCs are the best way to secure a graphics card at half the price this year, and there are plenty of good options.
