Mystery-Solving Life Sim "The Good Life" Postponed to Fall

The master of the mundane and bizarre, Hidetaka "Swery65" Suehiro and his company White Owl Inc, had planned to release their latest title this summer, but the life-sim and photography game "The Good Life" has been delayed, announced today on Twitter, and will not be released until the fall.

The game was added to Steam last year and was slated for release this summer, but it appears to need a few more months of brushing up.The Good Life began crowdfunding in 2018 for a 2019 release, but development has been extended two years . In a post on his Twitter page, Swery apologized for the delay to the fall, saying, "We are working very hard. And we really want to put the best experience in your hands. So please wait a little longer."

In The Good Life, players take on the role of Naomi, a photojournalist who moves to the small English town of Rainy Woods to pay off a huge debt. There are murders in the town. Also, every night everyone is magically transformed into a cat or dog. Soon Naomi is also transformed into a cat or dog and is able to use her cat or dog powers to solve mysteries and stalk people.

The Good Life can be found on Steam.
