One YouTuber's Saltiness Was the Reason for the Existence of the Popular Free Survival Game "Muck

At some point in the past, someone commented on a video by youtuber Dani, saying that she would not be able to make her own survival game. Presumably in response to a critique of other survival games. Naturally (????) Dani was offended by this and decided to prove the person wrong. If you didn't know about this story, that's fine. Because that's what I thought, too, until I noticed that nearly 15,000 people had played a game I had never heard of called "Muck," which was released yesterday and had overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Courtesy of Dani, there is even a video about the game. This YouTuber is new to me today. I must emphasize that when I say "salty" here, I mean it with deep respect. My motto: "Living well is the best revenge. The second best revenge is to prove people wrong conclusively"

.

Thus! Mac! is a multiplayer survival roguelike where you gather resources, find items, build a base, and survive as long as possible against waves of enemies; it's completely free on Steam; it's getting very positive reviews from what I can only assume is a horde of Dani fans, but it's free and not awful! I've played it for about 2 hours and it's plenty of fun.

It's free and not terrible! I don't know how much more I can recommend it. I'm sure you could play with friends, but I'm at work right now so I couldn't test it. There is both cooperative and competitive multiplayer, so I think any survival game fan would enjoy it.

Muck can be found on Steam.
