Noctua's high-performance fanless CPU cooler on sale for $100

After months of announcements, updates, and delays, we now know the price of Noctua's upcoming passive CPU cooler. This long-awaited fanless heatsink is listed on Newegg at a price of $100 (which has since been removed) and will sit alongside Noctua's powerful dual-fan NH-D15 cooler.

The link posted on the r/buildapcsales subreddit is unfortunately no longer live on Newegg. For a brief moment, however, users were able to take a cursory look at that all-important price tag. At $100, this high-performance passive cooler does not appear to be as expensive as some users had hoped.

I too was expecting something more expensive. This is because this passive cooler seems to require the use of more expensive metal to accommodate a loaded high-performance gaming CPU.

However, this price is subject to change before the official announcement. Similarly, performance figures are still unknown, with some of the latest gaming chips having the highest heat loads to date.

Noctua has officially announced that this cooler is "coming soon," so we can expect more news on pricing and performance. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.
