Mass Effect Legendary Edition" Patch Promises Better Performance and Quieter Mass Relay
The [Mass Effect] trilogy is pretty great, so it's no surprise that "Mass Effect Legendary Edition" is also great. It's not without its caveats, such as the occasional reported performance issues, but for the most part it's true: a few weeks ago, we noted that it runs "like an absolute dog" on some laptops due to the way the graphics hardware is automatically detected. Some Steam users also reported lower-than-expected frame rates.

Hopefully the worst of these issues will be a thing of the past. A new patch released today promises "improved PC performance on a variety of hardware configurations, including Virmire," and also addresses the perhaps more rare problem of "people using non-standard characters in their operating system user names" not being able to start the game

PCs are not "able to start the game.

Along with PC performance improvements, a number of game-specific fixes have been included: players of "Mass Effect 1" can now reach the maximum level, the amount of credits that can be brought from "ME1" to "Mass Effect 2" has been reduced "to better balance the early game progression," and the amount of credits that can be brought into "Mass Effect 2" has been reduced to "more The "Citadel" DLC for "Mass Effect 3" now correctly plays the English dialogue in the German and Italian localizations.

Other notable fixes include lowering the volume of the Mass Relay screen in Mass Effect 1. I don't recall this being a problem, but my parents may have been right when they said that loud music destroys my hearing.

For fun, I compared the Mass Relay screens of the three games:

By the way, this is from 2012 and has nothing to do with the patch.
