Download new Nvidia driver hotfix to resolve BSOD and random screen flashing.

Nvidia has released a hotfix for its latest driver that ostensibly fixes the "DCP Watchdog Violation error" on previous generation graphics cards, but if you are experiencing random screen flashes or the dreaded blue screen of death, the new GeForce GPU software may well fix it.

The latest full Nvidia driver, version 466.63, was only released a few days ago in early June, but the new 466.74 hotfix is already available for download from Nvidia itself. It is worth noting, however, that a Google search for the latest Nvidia drivers will direct you to download the 466.63 version that this hotfix resolves.

The GeForce Hotfix display driver version 466.74 is based on the latest Game Ready driver 466.63.

This hotfix can be downloaded directly from the following links.

You can download the correct version of the hotfix driver from these links, but we recommend downloading this update only if you are experiencing problems with your Nvidia-based setup. If you have no problems with the 466.63 driver, it is better to continue using it rather than to waste time updating it.
