Valheim Patch Makes Serpents Braver, Brings Back Two Bug Events

The latest patch for Iron Gate Studios' Valheim fixes a number of minor issues, including a previously unnoticed bug that was preventing two in-game events from triggering properly. Patch 0.154.1 is "one of our beloved fixer-upper patches. In addition to fixing several bugs and minor issues, it was discovered that some main random events were not triggering as expected.

These events would randomly occur while wandering the sun-drenched Viking highlands, most often appearing to pop a bunch of monsters for a few minutes. Sure enough, the two that didn't trigger were "being hunted" and "hordes attacking," the former by wolves in the mountains and the latter by a hooling army (a small goblin group). So there are more things to poke with sharp sticks.

Other modifications have been made to the berry and flint respawn timers: "The snakes no longer run away when their health is low. Also, some players have noticed that the swishy cloaks lose their shape and look like Quasimodo's, but they no longer have a "weird hump on their back after jumping." The raised terrain also seems to have been revised and is now "smoother and less sharp."

Finally, there are a few quality-of-life improvements, such as if you built your fermenter in the wrong place (essential for brewing mead, but it needs to be indoors), the game is more clear. Oh, and speaking of indoors, perhaps the most important modification." During rain, covered rocks no longer look wet."
