Report No new "Call of Duty" will be announced at this year's E3

According to VGC, the next Call of Duty game, tentatively titled "Vanguard" and rumored to return the series to World War II, will not appear at this year's E3.

This year's "Call of Duty" is confirmed to be developed by Sledgehammer Games, the studio behind "Call of Duty: World War 2." However, according to VGC, this game will not be confirmed within the next week. Rather, like "Black Ops-Cold War," "Vanguard" is expected to be announced at the Warzone in-game event later this year.

Vanguard's supposed setting raises many questions for Warzone, which has been confirmed as an important part of this year's production. After all, Battle Royale is already struggling to adapt to the 1980s.

However, sources told VGC that there may, in fact, be a much smoother transition this time around.

"For the 2021 game, Sledgehammer has had much more time to prepare for the Vanguard's Warzone tie-in, and just months after transitioning to the 1980s, the battle royale game officially moves to a World War II setting I understand that they are planning a significant amount of content for the

That transition will reportedly include an entirely new map. More than a time-shifted Verdanisk, Vanguard may appear with a huge Pacific map that is "significantly larger" than the current Warzone map.

However, Activision has yet to officially announce this year's Call of Duty. However, Morgan still doesn't think this year's sequel is the right one, and is instead eagerly awaiting a double-jumping future shooter like "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare."
