General
Battle.net will allow you to have friends all over the world.

Blizzard's Battle.net launcher now lets you add, manage, and chat with friends from around the world.

Added in yesterday's update (and discovered by Wowhead), Blizzard's launcher no longer limits your friends list to those in your region. If you look at the example screenshot in the launcher's patch notes, you will see that friends outside of your region are now displayed with their location next to their current activity.

However, while you can now chat with your international friends and keep track of their status, you can no longer play with them: all Blizzard games remain blockaded on the regional servers, and your character and account are still on the continent where you started. restricted.

Not surprisingly, China also remains isolated from the rest of the world, both in-game and in this new global chat ecosystem.

Someday, it may be possible to join WoW parties in Europe, Asia, and the US. But for now, Blizzard has no plans to push in that direction. At the very least, we can chat and play together while we work separately.
