In a week full of gaming surprises and announcements, the Epic Games Store has launched a particularly enticing free promotion.

"Control" is Remedy's 2019 action game about a woman who goes through a possessed office building called the Bureau, gathers and uses supernatural powers to restore order (or what is considered order) and find out what happened to her brother who was taken by the Bureau years ago. It is the story of a woman who discovers what happened to her brother, who was taken away by the Bureau years ago.

Lightly creepy! You can telekinetically punch a deformed pencil pusher in the face with his own office chair! There are errands to run for the janitor who looks over everything and sweeps the halls while singing Finnish songs! The bureau is a great place to roam, so much so that we picked it as one of the best settings for 2019. And if your machine is built for it, you should also check out Control's ray tracing for yourself.

Control is great. It's always worth buying, and it's totally worth the free download. The regular version may not have the two extensions of Control, but you may not miss much. The first, "The Foundation," isn't much better, and "AWE" (Alan Wake Expansion, get it?) is, as the name suggests, less exciting than a preparation for the next expansion of the Remedy Connected Universe.
